It is a static site generator & full-stack application framework developed by a distributed team and utilized in hundreds of production deployments around the world.

Frontend & Fullstack Architecture
As part of Whitefusion’s supportive collaboration with Exygy on their Bloom Housing software platform, the need arose for a major reboot of the design system and core component library. Previously written using Tailwind, the brittle nature of per-file utility classes and JavaScript theme config made customization difficult of downstream deployments’ unique branding. The Seeds design system was developed to provide web-native CSS-based theming and flexible, lightweight components.

A celebrated platform providing digital menu services to bars & restaurants, BeerMenus was in need of modernization for both its infrastructure & UI. Whitefusion embarked on several rounds of upgrading Ruby on Rails versions as well as a massive migration from an aging asset pipeline to modern esbuild. The menu embeds were also redeveloped, using new techniques such as shadow DOM encapsulation. In addition, close collaboration on a design project yielded a brand-new design system and component layer which is starting to roll out on key features.

Users can sign up for free, create new preset banks, and upload their files & soundclips for the appropriate plugin formats. The first version of this compendium of quotations from medieval Irish literature was built by a pre-Whitefusion incarnation of my consultancy. A few years back the original Drupal-based site was retired, and a more streamlined, lasting static site deployment of Sengoídelc was designed & published with the goal of making this collection of aroisc, roscada, ríagail as “permanent” an archive as anything on the Internet.
